The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (NAPC) is proud to support the next generation of preservation leaders through the FORUM Scholars Program. Offered at each FORUM conference, this initiative provides scholarship support to qualified students and recent graduates of preservation, architecture, planning, history, and related programs.
The program is designed to make FORUM more accessible for emerging professionals and to foster meaningful connections within the preservation community.
Selected FORUM Scholars receive:
- Complimentary registration to FORUM 2026
- Reimbursement of up to $1,000 for eligible travel and lodging expenses (with receipts)
- A one-year NAPC student membership, including:
- The Alliance Review, our quarterly journal on preservation best practices and case studies
- Discounts on the Virtual Summer Short Course
- Access to free educational webinars throughout the year
Additional Opportunities:
- Scholars are invited to engage more deeply with the conference by volunteering—supporting tours, registration, or sessions—as a way to connect with peers and preservation leaders.
- Optional: Participate in “New Voices in Preservation” by submitting a short digital presentation (video, slides, etc.) exploring a key question, challenge, or innovation in the field. Selected presentations will be featured at FORUM and on NAPC’s website.
