Amy Wyatt has 24 years of experience in archaeology and historic preservation. She joined the Wisconsin State Historic Preservation Office in 2006 as a database and project manager and in 2022 became the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer. She is committed to using preservation to tell the stories of communities that have been marginalized in the historical record due to biases in history and preservation. In her career, she has sought and had the privilege to work on many projects to preserve places significant to the history of African American, Native American, and Hispanic American communities that had previously been ignored or unrecognized.
