Harry Klinkhamer is the self-proclaimed History Tsar for the City of Venice, FL. As Manager of Historical Resources and head of the Historical Resources Division, he oversees the Venice Museum, Julia Cousins Laning & Dale Laning Archives & Research Center, and serves as the City’s Historic Preservation Officer. Klinkhamer has a master’s degree and has almost completed a Ph.D. in Public History. For over 25 years he has worked in archives, museums, historic sites, and historic preservation. He believes that if you’re not having fun at work, you’re in the wrong job.
