Jason has 26 years of municipal planning, historic preservation, and urban design experience. He currently leads the City of Des Moines Planning and Urban Design Division, which preforms long-range and development planning, and provides urban design support for the city. The division staffs the City’s Historic Preservation Commission, Plan & Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Administration from Drake University. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
