Dr. Kyra Lucas is currently the supervisor of the survey and registration program for the Florida Division of Historical Resources, which oversees surveys across the state, the National Register program, the Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credit program, and the Coordinated Local Government Program. Dr. Lucas has a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Florida. Throughout her graduate studies Dr. Lucas specialized in the preservation of roadside, programmatic, and modern architecture. Dr. Lucas strives to strengthen the bonds between private, public, and specialized sectors of preservationists and make history and culture accessible to everyone.
