Mark A. Reed has served as the Historic Preservation Planner for the City of Virginia Beach, VA since 2015. He has over 30 years of experience developing work scopes and managing maintenance, preservation, and restoration projects for historic buildings. He has 30 years of experience working as staff liaison with City Council appointed Boards and Commissions. Mr. Reed has successfully applied for and received $2.5 million in grant funding for historic preservation related projects for Virginia Beach. He has a B.A. from Tulane University and an M.A. from the University of Virginia in American History.
