Shannon S. Walsh

Historic Preservation Planner, Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, MA

Shannon Walsh has been the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission’s Historic Preservation Planner since 2017, working primarily in 43 communities within Hampden and Hampshire Counties and on select projects outside of the region. Her work range includes providing technical assistance and developing documentation for municipalities, conducting regulatory reviews, and preparing state and federal historic tax credit applications and grant applications to bring preservation funding to the greater Western Mass region. She has an MA in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, an MS in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University, and a BA in English from Gettysburg College.
