Ted Gong is retired from the U.S. Foreign Service, where his work as a Senior Foreign Service Officer addressed U.S. policy, law, and operations. Ted led the national effort for a Congressional apology for the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. He is Founder-Director of the 1882 Foundation, which broadens public understanding of the history of Chinese in America through a variety of programs. Ted is President of the DC Lodge and National VP for Policy of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance, a founding member of the Fairfax County Asian American Oral History Project, and organizer of Talk Story Events.
