Warren holds an MA (with distinction) in Conservation Studies (York); a BSc in Land Economics (Paisley); and, a Certificate in Building Construction (Glasgow). He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with RICS Accreditation in Building Conservation. In the U.K., Warren was employed as Project Manager for Addyman & Kay Building Archaeologists; Historic Scotland; and, Strathclyde Building Preservation Trust, and, as Townscape Heritage Initiative Project Manager for North Somerset Council. Since moving to the U.S.A., he has held the positions of Historic Preservation Planner for the Cities of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach; Executive Director for the Broward Trust for Historic Preservation; Preservation Officer for the City of Miami; and, Historical Resources and Cultural Arts Director for the City of Coral Gables. He is now Land Use Control Administrator for the City of Montgomery.
